گلس تمپرد یا محافظ صفحه نمایش حرارت دیده نوعی گلس است. که با است.فاده از مواد شیمیایی و کنترل حرارتی به مقاومت بسیار بالایی دست پیدا کرده است.. این گلس ابتدا حرارت داده می‌شود و سپس به کمک خنک‌کن‌ها به آرامی خنک‌ می‌شود. همیشه یک سمت گلس زودتر خنک می‌شود و همین سمتی که دیرتر خنک می‌شود با دستگاه‌های مختلف تحت تنش مکانیکی قرار می‌گیرد تا علاوه بر بالا بردن مقاومت گلس، امکان تغییر شکل جزئی هم به گلس داده شود. این کار باعث می‌شود مقاومت گلس در برابر ضربه و فشار الی برابر بیشتر شود.

این هم جزو نکات مهم است.. نکته مهمی که در انتخاب گلس باید حتما به آن توجه داشته باشید شفافیت و وضوح آن است.. گلس Tempered روی رنگ‌ها و کیفیت تصاویر گوشی تاثیر منفی نمی‌گذارد. وضوح و شفافیت آن بالای .  درصد است.. (البته نوع گلس تمپرد و کمپانی تولیدکننده و همچنین اورجینال بودن آن باید بررسی شود. چون برخی گلس‌های تمپرد بی‌کیفیت وضوح کمی دارند.) به طور کلی هیچ مشکلی از بابت است.فاده از گلس تمپرد نخواهید داشت.

بیشتر معایب گلس تمپرد به نوع و کیفیت گلسی که خریداری کرده‌اید بستگی دارد. گلس باکیفیت تمپرد از چسب سیلیکونی است.فاده می‌کند که بعد از جدا شدن روی سطح نمی‌ماند. اما برخی گلس‌ها چسب‌های بی‌کیفیتی دارند که ممکن است. جای آن‌ها روی صفحه بماند.
