Smart glass is a new generation of glass made using liquid crystal technology. These glasses change state to opaque or transparent in less than tenths of a second by connecting and disconnecting electricity. Smart glass types can be applied as a label on the glass in the building and there is no need to replace the glass. This glass is used as a board, screen, etc., and they have a great impact on the energy consumption of the environment and creating privacy. These glasses are used in offices, commercial, residential, health and medical facades, hotels, conference halls, partitions, swimming pools, etc.

برای ساخت شیشه ی هوشمند از تکنولوژی (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLCs است.فاده می شود که در ان از یک لایه film بین شیشه های دوجداره است.فاده می شود که قابلیت تنظیم عبور نور از خود را دارد به این گونه که در صورت نیاز شیشه مات یا شفاف میشود و از عبور نور به داخل محوطه ی مورد نظر می تواند جلوگیری کند.

The inner layer of smart glass, smart film, consists of several layers of advanced materials that are placed next to each other with high technology, each of which plays a role. The first layers of this smart film are made of PET polymer sheets, which are covered with a very thin layer of a transparent material that conducts electricity. Between two layers of these polymer sheets, a material called PDLC is placed. The constituents of this layer are actually liquid crystals that are completely irregularly distributed in a polymer field, and this irregular distribution causes the light rays to break and make the film opaque.

By using smart glasses, it is possible to prevent the passage of harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun (absorbing more than % of UV rays) and also more than % of IR rays. All these facilities, along with the very low power consumption ( watts per square meter) of these glasses, have justified the use of this product in smart homes, conference halls, partitions, swimming pools and commercial facades.
