Smart glass is a new generation of glass made using liquid crystal technology. These glasses change state to opaque or transparent in less than tenths of a second by connecting and disconnecting electricity. This glass is used as a board, screen, etc., and they have a great impact on the energy consumption of the environment and creating privacy. The inner layer of smart glass, smart film, consists of several layers of advanced materials that are placed next to each other with high technology, each of which plays a role. The first layers of this smart film are made of PET polymer sheets, which are covered with a very thin layer of a transparent material that conducts electricity. Between two layers of these polymer sheets, a material called PDLC is placed. The constituents of this layer are actually liquid crystals that are completely irregularly distributed in a polymer field, and this irregular distribution causes the light rays to break and make the film opaque.

PDLC and SPD smart glass technology is an active glass technology that switches the situation with electricity. These glasses simply change the amount of light passing through with the help of smart (and generally transparent) materials. By connecting an electric current to the glass, the particles of the material between its layers become regular and transmit light, and as soon as the power is cut off, they return to an irregular state and the glass becomes opaque. These glasses have the ability to control a variety of rays such as visible light, UV, IR, etc.

The most important feature of this talc is that you do not need to replace the glass and it can be easily installed on the previous glass. As you know, the more light in the room and the more help we get from the sun, the bigger and more attractive our room will look. This style of glass allows sunlight to pass through and at the same time does not allow heat to enter your space and warm your room. By using smart glasses, it is possible to prevent the passage of harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun (absorbing more than % of UV rays) and also more than % of IR rays.
