لغت اسپاندکس (spandex) برگرفته شده از لغت expands است. و لفظی است. که در آمریکای شمالی و کانادا بیشترین کاربرد را دارد، در حالیکه در اروپا لغت الاستان (elastane) کاربرد دارد و نزدیکترین لغت برای توصیف ساختار شیمیایی آن است. و در کشورهایی مانند انگلستان، ایرلند، پرتقال، اسپانیا، آمریکای لاتین، است.رالیا و نیوزلند لغت لایکرا (Lycra) است.فاده میشود.

Consistent with SNIA technology, the production process for this product starting with the mixing of monomers as feedstock input to the reactors for polymer solution in Dimethylformamide (DMF) in the Chemical Area through to fiber production, drawing, finishing and packaging is continuous and that at each stage samplings and controls are conducted and finally the product is graded and released in accordance with the test results. Bright, dull and semi-dull products are normal products. The product is packaged in bales weighing ± kg and then put in covered polypropylene jute and rod guards. The bales measure ** mm. - tons of the product can be transported in a -foot container.

Polybest fibers are acrylic fibers replacing asbestos in the preparation of concrete, asphalt, corrugated false ceiling, etc. The cut lengths of this fiber ranges from to mm and their physical and chemical properties differ from those of standard fibers and customized fibers are also produced. The acrylic fibers needed for these products are produced by solution polymerization, wet spinning and SNIA technology using monomer acrylonitrile as the major monomer. Production of this fiber used in industry ranges from . to . dtex and a length of - mm.

تمامی این روش ها در مرحله ی اول شامل اینترکشن میان مونومرها به منظور تولید پلیمر است.. زمانی که پلیمر تشکیل شد، طی فرآیندهای مختلف الیاف تشکیل میشوند. هم اکنون بیش از . درصد از الیاف اسپاندکس در دنیا به روش خشک محلول ریسی (solution dry spinning) تولید میشوند.
