یکی از اصلی‌ترین دلایل خرید گلس تمپرد دوام بالای آن است.. بسیاری از محافظ‌های .D تمپرد سختی بسیار بالایی دارند و شما نگران برخورد صفحه گوشی‌تان به اجسام نوک‌تیز، سکه‌ها و یا کلیدها داخل جیب‌تان نخواهید بود. چون به راحتی جلو خط و خراش‌ها را می‌گیرد. دو مزیت مهم این گلس عبارتند از:
