With its CLAAS universal feeder housing and multicoupler, the EVION is able to accept the front attachments already used with the TRION and LEXION models: grain cutterbars up to a working width of . m and maize pickers for up to rows. On CLASSIC versions, the front attachment is driven by a single belt while MAXI versions have two. The MAXI version of the EVION is therefore recommended for grain maize harvesting. The TREND equipment package includes CONTOUR ground contour adaptation as standard. This automatically adjusts the front attachment to ground undulations parallel to the direction of travel. EVION models in BUSINESS configuration are equipped with the AUTO CONTOUR system as standard (option on CLASSIC version) which is programmed via CEMIS for precise adjustment of the cutterbar table to cope with ground undulations both parallel and transverse to the direction of travel.
First introduced on the TRION in and available for CLAAS tractors and the JAGUAR since , the CEMIS Universal Terminal with the new GPS PILOT is now the standard device for all self-propelled CLAAS machines not just for automatic steering, but also for fleet management and smart farming applications. The successor to the S terminal features a -inch colour touchscreen and is equipped with a wide choice of correction signals and ISOBUS functions. As well as online documentation, it can handle ISOBUS implement control (in addition to the CEBIS terminal), a wide range of Task Controller applications, automatic Section Control and Variable Rate Application on tractors. The new functions and features will be available on the terminal developed by CLAAS E-Systems in Dissen from calendar year .
The ability to automatically create multiple reference lines per field provides a further efficiency boost. Using recorded or imported field boundaries, A-B lines and contours for different areas and sections of the field can be calculated and saved before cultivating the field. This feature simplifies work in irregularly shaped fields, as several headland sequences and rounded field boundaries can be saved as references in addition to the main working direction.
The main controls are located in the ergonomic side console, grouped according to function and all within easy reach. Shelves and storage areas can be found on and beside the side console. All relevant information such as diesel consumption per hour, transmission oil temperature or fill level of the diesel particulate filter can be viewed on the .-inch colour display in the steering wheel console. The display can also be used to adjust the settings of functions such as rear linkage lift speed, and for versions with electronic spool valves (ELIOS and AXOS only), the response time of the hydraulic spool valves and the maximum flow rate, as well as the timer.
All new tractors in the ELIOS , ELIOS and AXOS series derive their power from state-of-the-art FPT four-cylinder turbo engines with common-rail injection and Stage V emissions standard. The AXOS , ELIOS , and ELIOS , and work with the . l engine with bar injection pressure, wastegate turbocharger, intercooler and viscous fan, covering a performance range from to hp rated output at rpm and to hp maximum output at rpm. Maximum torque ranges from to Nm, depending on the model. Full engine torque is available across a wide speed range. In contrast, beneath the bonnet of the ELIOS lies the . l model with bar injection pressure, intercooler and viscous fan which delivers hp and up to Nm.
