CLAAS has launched the two most powerful belt grouper mowers on the market for tractors up to hp – the DISCO C AUTO SWATHER and DISCO RC AUTO SWATHER. These mowers have been specifically developed for harvesting lucerne, whole-crop silage and winter forage alongside traditional grass crops, with the focus on maximum yields and forage volumes. The harvested crop is gently and effectively crushed without loss by two counter-rotating polyurethane rollers. Furthermore, the conditioner extends across the entire width of the mower bed to avoid any forage jams.

CEMOS for Tractors helps the driver optimise ballasting, tyre pressure, engine and gearbox management and implement settings to enable them to perform fieldwork as efficiently and productively as possible and to an exceptionally high standard. While work is underway, when parameters such as the traction resistance of the soil, relief or net traction ratio often change (especially during tillage), CEMOS continuously compares the recorded actual variables with the achievable optimum and suggests further adjustments to the driver aimed at improving efficiency and productivity. Furthermore, the resulting reduction in fuel consumption leads to a significant reduction in CO emissions. An added advantage is the enhanced level of soil protection, since adjustments to ballasting and tyre pressure combined with the integrated Terranimo® app reduce the ground contact pressure, thereby avoiding undue, inefficient and harmful wheel slip.

One of the new functions of the GPS PILOT CEMIS is the automatic creation of multiple different reference lines within one field. Using recorded or imported field boundaries, A-B lines and contours for different areas and sections of the field can be calculated and saved before cultivating the field. This feature simplifies work in irregularly shaped fields, as several headland sequences and rounded field boundaries can be saved as reference lines in addition to the main working direction. When the driver switches to a different section of the field, they simply activate the reference line for the relevant segment and then resume work straight away with maximum precision.

Unlike the ELIOS , the ELIOS series starts at a maximum output of hp and comprises three models. However, the main difference from the ELIOS is the -speed transmission with TWINSHIFT powershifting and hydraulic REVERSHIFT reverser as standard. In addition, unlike the ELIOS , the cab floor is flat. The additional comfort provided by these features makes working with the ELIOS even more of a pleasure, be it in the yard and shed or on grassland, fields, plantations and forests. Kerb weight starts at kg, while the minimum external width of . m and minimum height of . m enable the tractor to be used in plantations and older-style buildings. With a maximum track width of mm, the ELIOS can also be used safely on uneven terrain and sloping ground. CLAAS can supply factory-fitted Trelleborg turf tyres (rear / R., front / R.) on request to protect the soil and reduce tracks when driving over grassland in parks, riding arenas and sports grounds.

When it came to engine technology, Mercedes-Benz was again the obvious choice. The . l OM LA six-cylinder in-line engine is familiar from the JAGUAR and LEXION and combines enormous torque with fuel efficiency and low maintenance costs. In the XERION . this power unit delivers hp from rpm and up to hp in the XERION .. Turbo compound technology with wastegate turbocharger ensures enormous power development, even at low engine speeds, and maximum efficiency under full and partial load at the same time. As a result, the maximum torque – an impressive Nm in the XERION . – is available even at rpm. The idling speed is set at a low rpm.
